The Power of the Tongue

Though we often give little thought to it and throw words around as though they have no meaning…yet we find it Scripturally and experientially true that the tongue can cut like a knife or offer healing.
And words can be as deadly as poison or they can mend broken hearts.
There is not a one of us who at times say things we wish we hadn't.
There is not a one doesn't struggle with this from time to time.
There is a cute saying that goes something like this…one reason why a dog is such a loveable creature is that it is his tail that wags and not his tongue.
