Gentiles Grafted Into the Israel of God

In these verses, the Holy Spirit shows us that there is a mysterious interdependence between the salvation of Jews and Gentiles. As strange as it may sound to our ears, God has rejected unbelieving Jews that He might show mercy to the Gentiles, which in turn causes the Jews to turn to their Messiah in faith. This cyclical pattern has been in place for 2,000 years now, and will continue until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
