1. The persons justified: Sinners. 2. The persons justified: Such sinners that shall believe, whether Jews or Gentiles. 3. The justifier, or efficient cause, GOD. 4. The impulsive cause, grace. 5. The means effecting, or material cause, the redemption of Christ. 6. The formal cause, the remission of sins. 7. The instrumental cause, faith. 8. The time of declaring, the present time. 9. The end, that God may appear just.
