Simeon: The Pious Privileged Prophet

Simeon, like Zacharias & Elizabeth, is profiled as belonging to the pious remnant. He was also a prophet. Although aged, Simeon would not die until his eyes saw the Lord's Messiah. Once again the Holy Spirit is active as Simeon providentially rendezvous with Jesus & His parents in the temple. With dramatic intensity, the elderly Simeon takes the infant in His arms. We are challenged to seek the privileges given only to the pious & receive the Spirit's testimony to the Messiah: Jesus.
