What God Does is Just and Right

The 32nd chapter of Job introduces the fourth person into the narrative, the young man, Elihu. He speaks from chapter 32 through chapter 37. Elihu criticizes everyone, while strongly defending God. He is a loving, wise God, who always does right because He is God. Elihu's concern centers on how suffering is handled not the cause of the suffering.

Elihu comments are much more theologically on target, than the other three men's. The old sometimes aren't wise, they are just old fools. There is no outside standard to God, He is the standard. We must have the proper humility towards God even during our suffering. Though God speaks in variety of ways but He does not always say what we want to hear in the way we want to here it. At the time Job there was no written scripture, God spoke in dreams, through angels, and by personal suffering. God even now uses affliction not just to punish of sin but to keep us from sin.
