Psalm 8 records the original creation mandate for Adam to co-rule with God over all creation (Genesis 1:26). Satan sought to usurp that dominion by getting Adam to sin and incur the penalty of death. God had other plans. He would restore dominion to His mankind through a second Man, the last Adam, Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:45-47).
