How is the Local Church Designed?

Scripture teaches that God sovereignly places you as a member of the body. He also gives each individual spiritual gifts to be used in the body, and commands us to serve in our giftedness for the body. Though there is some debate as to how to define "spiritual gifts," it is undeniably true that we all have them, we are all gifted in unique ways, and we are all responsible to serve in our giftedness to complete the sovereign purposes of God as he has designed the local church.
