Faith as a Reflex

Some people have bad habits reflexively. Others have good habits that come as a natural reflex. David demonstrates a "faith reflex" in the face of overwhelming threats to Israel. The narrative of David and Goliath is not a narrative about the small taking on the big and finding a bit of luck. It is not even about the small catching the larger warrior off-guard. It is about faith in the God of Israel.
