Mocking Christ

The whole Roman cohort was called together and they had a good time making sport of Jesus Christ. The purple robe, the reed, the crown of thorns, the sarcastic expressions of reverence, the fake bows, the spitting. Christ submitted to all of it and went like a lamb to the slaughter. Now, He is on His throne ruling from heaven, and yet He is still mocked. The day, however, will soon be upon us, when those who laugh at Christ will not be laughing any more.
