Why Should I Believe the Bible?
Series Sermon - Not in a Series
Why should you or I believe the Bible? A number of solid and reliable reasons are given in this address, the first being that Jesus Christ Himself took the Scriptures seriously. Often he prefaced his comments by saying 'Have you not read...'. Numerous prophecies concerning future events are given in the Bible, prophecies which have been fulfilled. A third reason is concerning the remarkable unity of the whole Bible, in that there are 66 books, many written by different human authors, books which present one unified message. Consider also how the text of the Bible has been preserved down the centuries, and by whom. The Bible has also impacted the nations with its civilising influence, and essentially the Bible gives to us a 'life-changing' message. Consider then the 'Book of Books' as it tells us about a Great God through the great message it contains.
