Faith and the Fatherly Blessing

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the certainty of things unseen. It is the responsibility of fathers to pass on a blessing to their sons. This blessing fundamentally is to exhort the sons to trust in God's unwaivering promises. This blessing flows to the spiritual heirs of God's choosing. It is not automatic. Many of the patriarchal blessings went to a son who was not the first born.
