Yoked with Christ

Today, I want to come to this call to be yoked with Christ.
What a fantastic analogy – mere mortal man being linked up with the eternal Son of God.

The thing that these words of the Saviour counter is the notion that true fellowship with God is a heavy burden.
The opposite is true – it is empty religion with its message of works – “do and live” thinking that burdens people down with the rigours and crushing demands of religion – to do more and more to find some form of peace with a holy God.

Christ is the world’s great burden bearer. He came into the world to take away the sins of the world.
