1)The Horror of His Suffering – Jesus agonized over experiencing God’s wrath.

2)The Strength to Endure His Suffering – Jesus turned to God in prayer and was helped.

3)The Embrace of His Suffering – Jesus submitted to God’s will to suffer for His people.

Application:
1)We must pray to God when faced with suffering and temptation.

2)It is ok to pray for relief, but let us submit to God’s will.

3)God responds to our prayers with grace to help in our time of need.
