When God's Word Is Made Null and Void

"It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law." —Psalm 119:126

Rev. Gary Hall, Dean of the Washington National Cathedral, had a message for all of the LGBT young men and women in his church. He declared, "Your sexuality is good. The church not only accepts it. The church celebrates and rejoices in it."

When you hear statement like this coming from those who claim to be messengers of God, you realize that you're living in that day described by the prophet Isaiah when men "call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness" (Isa. 5:20).

David was living in such a day when he prayed the words of this text. They not only reveal the heart of David, but they tell the Church how she should respond in a day when the Word of God is despised and trampled underfoot.
