The Deacon - A Man of God

In terms of the qualifications of a deacon we see that:

1. He is a man – as with elders, deacons are to be men

2. He is a servant – as was Jesus, deacons are to be servants

3. He is godly – and character is more important than abilities

4. He is blessed – for it is a privilege to serve God and His people
