Seeing God's Glory

How does one actually glorify God?

1. REVELATION: We cannot begin to imagine the glory of God except it come through the Cross of Jesus Christ.

2. REPENTANCE: Isaiah's reaction was that of genuine repentance.

3. RESPONSE: Isaiah's response was not merely his availability to do God's will, but it was motivated to go for God knowing that God would be with him as he went.

Have we had a revelation of the Cross in the depth of our souls, revealing to us the reality of the truth of God's glory?

Has that revelation brought us to repentance?

Has the glory of God motivated us to further know the infinite excellencies of God?

This was Jon's last sermon in Scammon Bay, as his symptoms worsen and make the probability of his having ALS more certain.

Interestingly, Isaiah 6:1-8 was Jon's text when he preached his first sermon in Alaska, at King Cove Bible Chapel in September 2002.
