The Biblical Assertion – the Scripture assert that salvation is to be found only in Christ and that only those who hear the gospel and trust Christ are saved

The Biblical Rationale – in light of who man is (a sinner) and who Christ is (fully man, fully God, able to save, willing to save), Peter's remarkable statement makes perfect sense.
