The Foreknowledge of God

·Foreknowledge and foresight are two very different things.
·If all that election really is, is God looking ahead in time, then it is misnamed election and should really be called reaction.
·Election is a sovereign and free act of God wherein He picks those who are to be His people not based upon anything outside of His own will. (Eph. 1; Rom. 9:10ff.)

Conclusion
1.The Bible says that you are predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ. (Rom. 8:29).
2.The Bible says that Jesus was perfected through suffering (Heb. 5:8-9).
3.The Bible says that you are being perfected through suffering also (1 Pet. 1:6-7).
4.The Bible says that this comes from the loving hand of your heavenly Father. (Heb. 12:4-7)
