Jude says that the heretics who creep into the church to deceive the simple are like clouds with no rain, carried about of winds. We need rain in the natural to grow our crops, and we need rain in the spiritual to nourish our dry souls. So we, as God's people, need this holy rain, and God knows that, and so God provides the rain that we need. But the devil knows this too, and so his ambassadors come into the Church as clouds, having the appearance that they too can give us the rain that we need.
