Sometimes God's arrows of providence fall "on this side of you" as we all want them to. At other times God's arrows of providence fall "beyond you" as they did in this story of David and Jonathan. When this happens God takes us down a path that we do not want to travel and that we often can't understand. What are we to do when the arrows of God's providence fall beyond us?
1-Trust the loving purpose of God in the strange providence.
2-Remember to seek Him instead of an explanation.
