Filmmaker Chastises Christians For Watching Ungodly Films-Film Has Usurped the Church

1,143

Guest host Adam McManus (www.AdamMcManus.net) talks with Christian filmmaker Rich Christiano (www.christianfilms.com/christiano-brothers-story.php) for a second refreshing installment.

Christiano doesn't pull any punches:

"The saddest thing that I see happening to Christian films is that too many of the movies coming out are really weak on content.  A Christian movie should point to Christ.  That’s what makes it Christian!"
"Christians flock to the theater and watch movies that blaspheme the name of the Lord who died for their sins.  It’s so hypocritical and they pretend not to notice! It’s a real problem."
"George Lucas, the famous Star Wars director, made an interesting statement years ago.  He said, 'The church, which used to be all-powerful, has been usurped by film.'''
"Our strategy (in Christian filmmaking) has always been the same. First, you’ve got to please the Lord.  John 15:5 is our filmmaking verse. 'Abide in Me and you’ll bear much fruit, apart from Me, you can do nothing.'   Jesus said that and I believe it.  If you don’t please the Lord – even if you sell 10 million DVDs,  you’ve got nothing! Secondly, we want to challenge, inspire and motivate Christians. And let’s put the Gospel truth in the movie so that a non-believer will consider Christ.  That’s always been our strategy in doing films – kind of an inside-out strategy."

You can get all 13 Christian movies from the Christiano Brothers in this special 30th anniversary sale at www.christianmovies.com/christiano-brothers-collection-dvd for just $69.  That’s $5 and change per movie!
