We Shall See Him as He Is

There is always a profit in the Saints seeing Jesus. Whenever a person beholds Him, some blessing is obtained.

John the Apostle stated that when we see Jesus when He comes again, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is.

We have many imperfections in our mortal bodies - illness, moral failings, disobediences, lack of love and faith. We are so weak and helpless and so chained by our broken bodies.

But one day, the sons of God will be like Christ; that is the promise of the scriptures! We shall be given bodies like unto His glorious body!

Not only will our bodies be physically perfect and impervious to damage, but we will be spiritually and morally perfect as well. We will sin and sigh no more!

When we are made like Christ, it will be all of grace and nothing of our good works.

The means by which this will occur is that we will see Jesus as He truly is. Think of it: we'll be viewing Him with resurrection eyes, as Job foretold.

Seeing Jesus in that day will bring a complete transformation in every Believer. Just as a look at the Savior brought us redemption, so too we shall be saved to the uttermost when we see Him as He is!

Imagine that face that we shall behold! The face of our Lord and Redeemer! The Martyr Stephen beheld that face in Glory as he was put to death for the Gospel.

The face of Christ in Glory enrages the Christ-rejecters. They despised Him and spit upon His face and tore His beard and face until it was marred more than any man. Imagine: they smote the Creator in His face!

Yet that same face was set like flint to accomplish our salvation! When we see Jesus, we will see that look of determination in His face!
