Give me power to appreciate
Series Every Word in Ephesians
Out of the darkness, God speaks. Stumbling in deaf, dumb oblivion, a godless rebel hears. This is a deliberate, miraculous action of God.
What a sad predicament to be in; hearing but not hearing, seeing but not seeing. But what a delightful experience to hear and perceive for the very first time. While there is such an emphasis on miraculous events today, the power of God is displayed in giving life and sight to people who can't see or appreciate the glories of the gospel! The beauty is breathtaking!
What a miracle when God grants the ability to see and appreciate. This is the power Paul desired for the Ephesian church and today's church by extension. Don't you long to see what Paul saw in Jesus? Don't you long to have the power to appreciate?
