Haggai — God's Building Something

The emphasis of Haggai's message is God's chastening love upon His servants who placed their priorities, pleasures and purpose before God's priority, pleasure and purpose that He graciously revealed and supplied them with the means to complete. Yet, they used what He provided for His purpose to accomplish their own agendas. And because they were His, He chastened them, by taking away things. How? There are certain natural laws God has put into affect that work for all men. Sowing and reaping, springtime and harvest... when something is sowed and cultivated in the right conditions there will always be a like harvest. But the harvest, when done God's way, because of these natural laws at play, will most likely be much larger, last longer and be more lovely that what was planted in the ground. Unless... God alters the natural process to get our attention regarding another matter.
