Divine sanctions caused David to consider the wrongs committed by King Saul against the Gibeonites. Only when the Gibeonites "lawsuit" against the descendants of Saul was "answered," did God send rain.
History is filled with these kinds of vendettas, but there is a hill called Calvary where blood was shed to wash away the injustices of history and where its wrongs can be made right.
The blood of that hill is available for you and me, too.
