Perseverance of the Saints
108
Explaining a key doctrine of reformed theology, the perseverance of the saints, Pastor Gibson takes on two extreme errors found among opponents of this doctrine. One error is that of defending a supeficial profession of faith which yields no spiritual fruit. The other error is the view that a true Christian can lose his salvation.
In making application of this great biblical doctrine, Pastor Gibson points to the joy, warmth, and comfort derived from "the sunshine of God's preserving grace." And to the motivation to a life of grateful obedience to a merciful God whose unchanging character makes certain the preseverance of the saints.
