What Ever Happened to Hell?

We don't hear many sermons of Hell these days, even from Christian pulpits. If there is a hell, isn't it for just the "really bad" people? Is it "fair" to punish the sins of "finite" people "infinitely? Is hell a "cruel and unusual punishment? How do the alternate views about eternal punishment stack up against what the Bible, God's Word says on the subject?
