The God Who Foreknows

The foreknowledge of God is often misunderstood by those who hold to Arminian (works for salvation) teachings. Just recognizing the Bible's use of the word to know someone like Mary knew not Joseph, in other words, she was a virgin when Christ was born indicates there was no intimate relationship between her and Joseph. God's foreknowing His elect indicates His affections for His people, not a foreknowing what someone would do, or what work they would perform in believing, which is an impossibility for those dead in trespasses and sins.
