No Little People

Lists of names are not the most popular passages in the Bible. In fact, many people commonly skip over or race through the genealogies of the OT and even those in Matthew and Luke that reveal the historical lineage and therefore the true and full humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ. Here in Romans 16 we find another list of names that serve a different purpose and I suppose it could be tempting to bypass them, but I am convinced that to do so would be a mistake. The Holy Spirit inspired the authors of Scripture and they wrote what he wanted them to write. That means that nothing in this book is without importance or value. This morning we want to ask (1) Who are these people?; and (2) What can you learn from them?
