Spirit Baptism

Spirit baptism is a unique ministry of the Holy Spirit that did not begin until the finished work of Christ on the cross. It was dependent upon the subsequent glorification of the Messiah.

The Holy Spirit's ministry marked the beginning of the New Covenant which is the foundational provision for the salvation of both Jew and Gentile.

Was the Spirit's work of baptism known by those living in the time before the Messiah? Was the outpouring of the Spirit in the Old Testament the same as the indwelling of the Spirit in the New Testament? What do we mean by Spirit baptism and what is its significance today? Is there a future ministry of the Holy Spirit to the nation of Israel? In this last sermon of Pastor Gil's 4-part series concerning Baptism, we learn how the Bible answers these and other questions about this particular issue of Baptism.
