Spirit Baptism

Spirit baptism is a unique ministry of the Holy Spirit that did not begin until the finished work of Christ on the cross. It was dependent upon the subsequent glorification of the Messiah.

The Holy Spirit's ministry marked the beginning of the New Covenant which is the foundational provision for the salvation of both Jew and Gentile.

Was the Spirit's work of baptism known by those living in the time before the Messiah?
