Convincing the unregenerate individual that The Bible IS the word of God, that because of their sin, their future in eternity is hopeless apart from Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit. No one else can change the heart of fallen man.

Earthly techniques, tricks, psychology, therapy, self-help motivations are worthless to this profoundly and eternally significant end: The salvation of otherwise hopeless unrepentant people.
