The Vindication of God

A man once made the statement at a pastors' conference: "Any move towards the five points of Calvinism is a move away from the gospel." But what are the five doctrines of grace, and what do they mean? They teach us that Adam's descendants have been completely ruined by sin. But the Triune God has not left us all in our wretched state. Unconditional election is Redemption Appointed by God the Father. Limited Atonement is Redemption Accomplished by God the Son. And Irresistable Grace is Redemption Applied by God the Holy Spirit. In these verses we find the Holy Spirit defending God's right to be God. He is ever just, and He has the right to do what He will with His creatures.
