The Heart that Wanders

Solomon was phenomenally blessed by God. King of Israel with a close relationship to God Himself. Yet tragedy strikes. It wasn't, however, tragedy from the outside, but tragedy inside his own heart. Sadly, the heart increasingly wanders over a period of time before it becomes outwardly obvious. But at any stage, it impacts both us and God. Solomon, when he was old, turned away from God. You don't want to drift from being a devoted disciple, to becoming a devoted fool. Solomon was trying to love God and also his hundreds of women at the same time. It is time to turn to God in repentance, rather than slowly and tragically drifting into eternal ruin.
