This expression of faith demonstrated Job's knowledge of God. The knowledge of God was a source of comfort for Job and can be for us as well. In verse 25, we see that the knowledge of God

• soothes our souls when we are weary
• strengthens our faith in the only redeemer for sinners
• secures our future with real hope
