Given the profound significance of the heart we are commanded to guard it diligently.

1. Why must we guard the heart - because the heart leads to action and because the heart is capable of great sin
2. How do we guard the heart - by self-examination, by confession and forsaking, by guarding the input to our hearts, by guarding the focus of our thoughts, by prayer, by giving our hearts to God.
