Show Us the Father

After our Lord proclaims that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, Philip sincerely requests for Jesus to show the Father to the disciples. He might have been commended, had his request not negated all the truth about who Jesus is. Our Lord lovingly rebuked Him for his ignorance.

Pastor Linehan shows us, through the earlier chapters of John's gospel, how our Lord repeatedly stated that He is the full revelation of the Father; that He and the Father are one. We must grow in our faith and knowledge of the Lord and not allow ignorance to guide our requests.
