Colossians chapter 1 will be our entire attention this Lord's day. In the morning we will begin with 1.1-8 and in the evening we will continue at 1.9-14. In both texts thanksgiving looms large. In the morning the amazing grace of Jesus Christ in saving us is front and center as our reason for thanksgiving

Theme: Believers give thanks for all in whom the fruits of eternal hope burst forth

1. Believers are called "holy" and "faithful": Why?

2. We are thankful for fruit as proof

3. We are thankful for hope, the source of these fruits

4. Believers rejoice to see this fruit of hope world-wide: How?
