The Church at Ephesus

The church at Ephesus is one of the seven church of Asia Minor in the first century, and John is given the vision by our Lord to expose the sin in their church. This church is known for many faithful works to preserve the faith and doctrine of the church of Jesus Christ, yet the one thing it lacked is its first love. Jesus sends a strong rebuke telling them to repent for their lack of first love for the Lord. Every church and Christian should examine their heart before the Lord to see if its first love is Jesus Christ and that he is the driving passion of the church and its ministry.
