Exodus primarily teaches us that God, first and foremost, is holiness. Genesis showed God as creator with holiness contained in metaphors. Exodus, through its events, teaches man that to know God is to know His holiness. The burning bush is a symbol of His holiness both outside of us and in those who are saved through His holiness.
