By faith Abel worshipped

If we are going to worship God than we must do so by faith. Abel brought his offering by faith. And his faith revealed his righteousness. We don't have any righteousness of our own so what righteousness did it reveal then? The righteousness that is counted toward us because of our faith in God; not righteousness by works or self proclamation but faith in God alone. Faith works when obedience is given and motives are right. How many of us miss one or the other? Cain's motive was wrong while Abel was obedient and done for the right reasons, his faith was righteous in God's eyes. Abel didn't come to see himself as a big shot, far too many do that today. He was willing to let any praise for him go in one ear and out the other. Abel may have lost his life but God lifted him up so that his testimony is still being talked about today. All because Abel worshipped by faith.
