God's fire power

Tag team preaching NOT two sermons just one sermon but with two preachers bringing God's word. Alternating on points in the sermon but united in the cause of Christ! Not in contradiction but presenting in their own individual styles what thus saith the Lord.

This is not an easy world to live in. In fact this world wants to put you in your place every chance it gets. Not only run us through the wringer but show off it's power. By example we see here in this text how Nebuchadnezzar drunk on power had built his statue to for all to not only see but to worship. And then gave the choice of worship or be cast into the burning fiery furnace. He wasn't content to say burning furnace or fiery furnace, no he wanted people to know that he had fire power and that if people didn't obey they were firmly in his control. Isn't that how the world treats people; obey or pay the price? What the king didn't count on though is that his fire power was easily overshadowed by God's greater fire power. That these three Hebrew young men belonged to Him and that Father takes care of his own. We call God Father, we have access to this same fire power that delivers. He will reach down through the enemy that surrounds us past the flames that threaten to destroy us to pick us up. He has pledged Himself to us. God will protect us. Cozying up to His fire will incite passion inside of us to stand for Him just as these three men did. And always God's fire power is purposeful, because as we see there was victory waiting for these young men on the other side. Victory that is also waiting there for us, if we will only trust Him.
