Paul's Prayer for the Colossians #3

What if someone would ask you, “I want to pray for you and your church. For what should I pray?" How would you respond? We may divide Paul’s prayer for the Colossians into two basic sections: Thanksgiving and Petitions. Paul offers Thanksgiving for the salvation of the Colossian Christians, the progress of the Gospel, and the faithful labors of Epaphras. Then he asks that the Colossians may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and be strengthened with all power. Paul is not indifferent to the practical or tangible needs of the Colossians, but such needs can only be met out of the riches of their fellowship and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
