It is to God's glory that we rejoice in Him and praise Him in the spirit of thankfulness. The Lord takes note of those who show the spirit of ingratitude, and do not return thanks to Him for all of the tokens for good that we receive from His gracious hand. Such a spirit of unthankfulness was displayed by the nine healed lepers who did not return to the Lord to thank Him, and give glory to God.
