Authenticity of the Old Testament

Even as higher criticism, proponents of JEPD, and seemingly academic claim of a late date for Old Testament authorship seem to gain a foothold there is much to demonstrate and prove the authenticity of the Old Testament. We can prove the authenticity of the Old Testament and can trust we are reading the very documents that God revealed to his prophets in Israel.
