God's Annointed One: Cyrus as a Type of Messiah

Idea: Cyrus was a type of Christ. That doesn't mean that Cyrus was Christ. Think of it, instead, of foreshadowing Jesus. There are things about Cyrus that point forward to the ultimate redeemer, Jesus.

Cyrus, God's Anointed:

1. He was anointed to show that God has acted in history.
2. He was anointed to act on behalf of God's people. H
3. He was anointed so that the world might know that there is no other God.
4. He was anointed so that it would be known that nothing is done without God.
