Mary's Memorial of Devotion

Mary understood something of the implications of Christ's death for her. Jesus receives and honors the extravagance of her devotion, which is not only monetary but personal. In contrast to many who tell us not to worship Jesus, this text shows us that all worship belongs to him, since he was sent by God - indeed IS God in the flesh. Are you a Mary or a Judas? You can continue to serve Jesus with your devotion even now, since Jesus says that when we serve the least of his brothers, we are serving him.
