(18) Why Doesn't God Give You More Wisdom? - James 1:5

When we ask God for good gifts, he gives them to us. So why is it that we ask so often for wisdom and don't get more than we get? If wisdom is such a good thing, why wouldn't God give us more than he does?

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

But if that's true, given the number of times I've asked God for wisdom, I should be as wise as Solomon by now. Why do I still have as little wisdom as I have?
