Fighting Words

In this text, King Hezekiah finally seems to have abandoned all efforts to hedge his bets with the LORD through his own efforts to save Judah. Now he is penitent and relying completely on the LORD for deliverance as demonstrated by his main concern: "that all the kingdoms of the earth should know that you alone are LORD." It's no longer about himself or others but about God!
