Is mankind good or evil? Psalm 140 reveals the latter. The author is King David and he beseeches God not only for protection from his wicked enemies but for retribution to fall on their heads. He is confident that Yahweh will vindicate and uphold not only himself but all his people so that they might praise his name and live in uprightness before him.
