The Man Christ Jesus

The man Boaz is a type of Christ and we learn in this verse what the man Christ Jesus is like:

1. This man was a special man
   ("And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's").
   Christ is a friend of sinners.
   He is

• a familiar friend
• a family friend
• a faithful friend

2. This man was a man of substance
   ("a mighty man of wealth")
   Christ is a mighty man of wealth
   He is

• a man of prominence ("mighty")
• a man of prosperity ("wealth")

3. This man was a man of strength
   ("of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz")
   Boaz means strength
   Christ is a man of strength.
